In Arizona there is a unique State Senate race where the only candidate on the ballot has withdrawn and it is now a all write-in campaign. The Democrats are backing candidate Eva Diaz, a long time educator, but there are 4 other Democrats running and 4 Republicans. Even though it is a heavy Democrat district, if the votes are split and many people don’t know about the write-in campaign and vote for the guy on the ballot, who’s votes won’t count, the Dems could lose the seat. It is Legislative District 22, which is southwest of Phoenix and includes Avondale and Tolleson.
