Backyard buzzing

Insects make great subjects.  I went out to pick strawberries the other day and was met by a bee enjoying the nectar of a strawberry flower.  It was cloudy so I thought it would make a good day for another bee shot.  The camera is the Nikon D300.  I don’t have a “macro” lens, but I use a Canon 500D closeup lens on my Nikon 28-80 kit lens.  One nice thing about using that lens is how light it is compared to bigger “pro” lens.   Here are the results.  I confess the lens didn’t get me in that close.  These images a cropped , but the image quality is good.

Oh and the strawberries at the end were the harvest for the day.
